| Tropical Water Lilies
Tropical lilies are among the most dramatic plants in water gardening. They are more fragrant, produce more blossoms, and have some of the most exotic colors. However, unless you are in a warm climate (zones 10-11), tropical lilies must be treated as annuals, as water temperatures must be maintained above 70ºF, or they may be over wintered indoors, but don't count on them coming back---and if they do, they won't flower as beautifully as the first year! In order to bloom, they need steady water temperatures of over 75ºF and at least 5 to 6 hours of sunlight. These lilies should be planted in depths of 6 to 18 inches, where the water is warmer. We do not begin to ship these plants, unless otherwise requested, until mid June. (Click color to see the pages of named varieties)
Plants are shipped "bare root". Prices listed here are for internet orders only. Availability varies. |
